How important is college really?

I mean, honestly. When I was in elementary school I was learning important life lessons from the Animaniacs. And they are just full of knowledge. Like knowledge about the universe, for instance.

    Well if someone hadn't gone to college, we wouldn't know, for instance, that we only have 8 planets instead of 9....

    I'm not sure how I feel about Mickey Rooney's being the standard against which we're measured!
